Voter Registration
To register to vote in Utah you must:
- Be a citizen of the United States
- Have resided in Utah at least 30 days immediately before the next election
- Be at least 18 years old on or will be 18 by the day of the next general election (November election date)
- Reside in the voting district or precinct in which the person applies to register to vote
If your name or address has changed, you will need to update your voter registration. Your address must match the address on file with the Drivers License Division. If your driver license address is not current, please update your address with the Driver License Division. This must be done before submitting your voter registration.
Online Voter Registration or update registration is available at vote.utah.gov (with a current Utah driver’s license or state ID).
Mail or deliver a registration form to the Davis County Clerk’s Office (61 S. Main St., Farmington, UT). When completing the paper form, provide either your Utah driver’s license/state ID number or the last four numbers of your Social Security Number.
You may register in-person at the Davis County Clerk's office during regular business hours. Usually 8:00AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
Voters who miss the Registration Deadline may register to vote and vote provisionally in person on Election Day or During Early Voting. Plan for some extra time at the polling location to fill out paper work, and bring with you Proof of Identity and Proof of Residency. Provisional ID Requirements
Voting Update: Choose Mail or In-Person Ballot (HB300)
After the passage of HB300 (General 2025 legislative session), applicants will also be required to select whether to receive a ballot by mail or not. Those opting not to receive a ballot by mail will be required to vote in person, if they wish to vote. Voters choosing to receive a ballot by mail will still have the option to vote by mail or in person.
