Tip 411
The Kaysville Police Department is pleased to announce the implementation of the Citizen Observer tip411 Program, which puts a powerful new crime-fighting tool into the hands of our community for all ages and demographics. This program enables citizens, who otherwise might be reluctant to provide information, to communicate directly and anonymously with Kaysville police officers via text message or email. The tip411 Program is an effort to increase the Police Department's ability to solve crimes by receiving crucial information from the community that can help with investigating crime in Kaysville City.
Technology provided by Citizen Observer removes the sender's identifying information before forwarding the tip to the Kaysville Police Department. Officers can follow up with the sender in a response text or email but the sender remains anonymous during the conversation.
There are several ways citizens can utilize the tip411 Program and send anonymous tips to the Kaysville Police Department:
- Citizens can send crime information via text message to the Kaysville Police Department by texting the keyword "KAYSVILLEPD" and their tip to the number 847411.
- Students can send crime information or tips concerning any of the schools in Kaysville to keyword "KPDSRO" and their tip to the number 847411.
- Bair Analytics RAIDS Online public crime map will display calls for service activity within Kaysville City and provide a web link to the tip411 anonymous tip online platform. Users can search for a specific case and leave information by clicking the tip411 tab to leave information anonymously on RAIDS Online.
- Smartphone users can download free apps to submit tips directly from their iPhone or Android device. Search "KaysvillePD" on the Google Play Store or iTunes App Store and download the app for free. The tip411 App also allows users to send video and photos with the tips that are submitted to the police department.
