The election filing period is almost here. Kaysville City will have three council seats (4-year terms) to be voted on this year. Declaration of Candidacy must be filed in-person at the City Recorder's office from June 1, 2023 to June 7, 2023 (excluding Saturday and Sunday). A $100 non-refundable filing fee is required.
Candidates who file for municipal office are required to be a US citizen, be a registered voter of Kaysville City, be a resident of Kaysville City for at least 12 consecutive months prior to the date of the election, and be mentally competent, have not been convicted of a felony, and have not been convicted of treason or a crime against the elective franchise.
