Kaysville Star Lighting for Peace in Israel
Kaysville City joins Governor Cox and the State of Utah in showing support for Israel in the wake of the horrific attacks carried out by Hamas. We hope and pray for peace for all the people of Israel and Palestine. We firmly believe that communities grow stronger when they unite to condemn evil and promote peace.
The Kaysville star will be illuminated on the mountainside on the evening of Monday, October 23, 2023 as a symbol of our hopes and prayers for peace.
The lighting of the Kaysville star during the holidays is a 60-year-old tradition. The star was also illuminated in February 2022 when Kaysville joined other cities and the State of Utah in showing support for Ukraine.
