Several years ago, the City received Federal grant money to install overhead flashing warning lights at the Rail Trail Crossing on 200 North. For the last year the City has been working on converting that signal from an amber colored warning signal to a HAWK signal (High-Intensity Activated CrossWalk), that will actually stop traffic when activated. This is the same type of signal that UDOT installed at Main Street and Center Street last year. The new Hawk signal should be ready for activation as early as Monday, November 29th. Please be aware of changes, and as always, be safe, courteous and alert on all roadways.
