Hill AFB Fire and Emergency Services, Kaysville FD/PD and Layton FD/PD are teaming up to honor the 412 first responders who gave their lives to protect and serve on September 11, 2001.
On that grievous day terrorists threatened the United States of America and our way of life. Vowing to protect our freedoms, American soldiers have fought against tyranny and oppression in multiple conflicts across several different nations. Since Operation Iraqi Freedom began in 2002 6,967 Military members have been killed as a result of these wars.
The opening ceremony for this ruck will be at 8:20 AM at the USU Botanical Gardens (920 South 50 West, Kaysville).
During the 9.6 mile ruck there will be 3 stopping points with hydration stations and medical treatment on standby. FD bunker gear or 30 lb. ruck is encouraged but not required.
