Monday, June 24- Water Service Outage and Repair Update (Message from Davis & Weber Counties Canal Company:)

We are writing to inform you about a significant water service issue that occurred over the weekend, affecting the Kaysville and Layton areas.

Incident Summary: This weekend, a major leak was detected in one of our main water lines. Our dedicated team worked tirelessly to repair the leak, and we are pleased to report that the repair has been successfully completed.

Current Status: We are currently in the process of restoring the system to full pressure. However, achieving full pressure will take some time, particularly as more customers begin to use water from the system. To illustrate, it's akin to filling up a bucket with a hose while 2,000 people are using straws to draw water from the same bucket.

Request for Cooperation: To expedite the restoration process and help us achieve full pressure as quickly as possible, we kindly ask that you refrain from using water until we reach full pressure. Your cooperation is crucial in ensuring a swift recovery of the water system.

Stay Informed: For real-time updates and detailed information on the progress, please visit our website at davisweber.org. On the right-hand side of the homepage, you will find a map with the latest details about the process and recovery status.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we work to restore full water service to your area.

Thank you for your patience and support.
