Kaysville City submitted and received a grant for over $1,000,000 dollars of Utah State America Recovery Plan Act (ARPA) funds to install Fiber Optics to some city facilities and infrastructure. These funds will allow the city to connect vital infrastructure to be able to better communicate concerns, take digital readings, and connect parks and other facilities to fiber cables for the fastest data access available. Some connected infrastructure will include pump stations, water tanks, meters, valves, and much more.
This grant will also connect sewer facilities to benefit the Central Davis Sewer District and may connect some city facilities to benefit Fruit Heights City.
This grant and the matching ARPA funds Kaysville will also utilize, will not be spent on connecting individual homes to fiber.
Congratulations Kaysville City IT for this exciting news and for all your hard work to being the latest in technology to Kaysville City Departments and Utilities.
