Invitation to Submit Arguments For or Against Ballot Proposition
The Davis County General Election Ballot for the November 3, 2020 election, which will include a proposition to be designated as Proposition #12, will read as follows:
“Shall the City Council (the “Council”) of Kaysville City, Utah (the “City”), be authorized to acquire, construct, own and operate a municipal fiber network and to finance the costs thereof with a revenue bond obligation backed by Sales and Franchise Taxes, but for which no property taxes will be pledged (collectively, the “Kaysville Municipal Fiber Project”) in a principal amount not to exceed Twenty-Two Million Dollars ($22,000,000) and mature not more than 30 years from the date of issuance of the bonds?“

Any eligible voter may request to submit an argument for or against Proposition #12 in accordance with Utah State Code 20A-7-402. Requests to submit an argument must be filed with the election officer no later than August 31, 2020 at 5:00 p.m. Requests may be submitted at the Kaysville City Offices (temporarily located in the Kaysville Police Department) at 80 North Main Street, Kaysville, UT, or emailed to mailbox@kaysvillecity.com.
