Hi Kaysville Community! Kaysville City invites you to attend the Second Open House for the Kaysville City Center Small Area Plan on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at City Hall, Council Chambers, 23 East Center Street. This is your opportunity to give input that will help shape the future of Downtown Kaysville. Whether you live here, own a business, or are interested in how our city grows — your voice matters.
What this project is aboutThe Small Area Plan is a focused effort to build off the 2022 General Plan, with special emphasis on preserving community character, improving walkability, enhancing economic vitality, and creating more vibrant public spaces. It covers several sub-areas including Historic Main Street, Main Street North, Mutton Hollow, plus other zones identified for possible improvements. So far, there has been strong input from the community — over 500 responses in early surveys.
Why you should participateHere are several reasons to show up or share feedback, whether you’re a resident, property owner, or business operator: Make your voice heard in shaping what gets built — you can help decide how areas may be redeveloped, what kind of housing is allowed, where sidewalks, bike paths, or green spaces go, and how traffic is managed. Protect what you value — historic buildings, community character, architectural style, open space, trees, small-town feel. Your input can help protect and preserve these. Support business vitality — improvements like enhanced streetscapes, signage, access, walkability and mixed uses can help draw more customers, encourage investment, and make downtown more attractive for businesses. Shape long-term investment — decisions made now will guide city spending, zoning, infrastructure upgrades, and planning priorities. Participating early gives you chance to influence those decisions rather than responding after the fact.
