Fireworks can be discharged July 2-5 and again July 22-25. Fireworks can only be discharged between 11am-11pm, except for July 4th and 24th when the hours are extended until midnight.

Local jurisdictions have implemented additional restrictions in high-hazard areas. Attached is a map of Kaysville’s designated high-hazard area. Discharge of fireworks of any type within these hazard areas is a violation and considered a Class B Misdemeanor.

Fireworks Hazard Area - KaysvilleNever call 911 to report the illegal use of fireworks. Fireworks complaints should be reported to Davis County’s Dispatch non-emergent line at 801-451-4150.

Stay safe and please follow these practices when legally using fireworks:

  • Do not discharge fireworks near dry grass or brush.
  • Keep a water source, such as a hose or a bucket of water, nearby.
  • Thoroughly soak used fireworks in a bucket of water for several hours before disposing of them in a trash can.
  • Only discharge fireworks according to the instructions on their packaging and never hold fireworks while they are lit.
