Kaysville-Fruit Heights 4th of July Parade Rules and Regulations
Policy and Procedures:
- Strong emphasis on FLOAT/TRAILER type entries. Entry decoration is mandatory. Entries/Vehicles without decoration will be turned away and not allowed in the parade.
- Throwing candy/merchandise is NOT allowed from moving vehicles or floats. “Spotters” may walk alongside your entry and toss candy/merchandise into the crowd. Getting on/off a moving vehicle is not permitted. In an effort to ensure safety of children and parade spectators, please keep candy/merchandise OFF the street and ON the sidewalks.
- Any vehicle in the parade must show proof of insurance upon request and drivers must have a valid driver license.
- Proper spacing emphasized and enforced. Parade committee members and volunteers will monitor.
- Car clubs are welcomed, but limited to a certain number of vehicles. Parade committee will determine the number of cars allowed based on other parade entries.
- A MANDATORY Parade Meeting will be held on Wednesday, June 26, 2019. Location will be determined. A representative from each entry must attend.
- All parade entries are required to fill out an entry form and pay the applicable fee
- Participants in the water fight are prohibited from shooting water at overhead power lines and power distribution equipment. Water acts as a conductor and can cause fatal injuries if contact with a damaged power line or equipment occurs
Water Fight: After the main parade is completed, the water fight will line up on the intersection of 500 East and Main; then travel north along Main Street. In the interest of personal safety of both participants and spectators WATER BALLOONS ARE NOT ALLOWED
