What to Expect:

Tours will last approximately 30 minutes. Each tour starts with an age-appropriate safety discussion followed by a walk through of the station and apparatuses. During the tour the crew will be in service, please prepare the children that there will be loud noises and the equipment can not be touched. The fire apparatus and ambulances may have to respond to emergencies during your visit. It is important for everyone’s safety to keep all children controlled throughout the tour and follow all instructions from the crew.

Availability:

Tours are only offered from March 1st through September 30th of each year by appointment. Tours are available at 10:00am or 2:00pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays only.  Tours are not available on Holidays.

Group Size:

For the safety of the crew and visitors, tours have a limit of 15 children. You are required to provide the appropriate number of chaperones for your group. We require 1 adult per child under the age of 5 and 1 adult for every 5 children over the age of 5. Strollers and wagons are not allowed in the station.

Scheduling:

Please call the Fire Department Administrative Office at 801-497-7041 or email firedepartment@kaysville.gov at least two weeks in advance to schedule a tour.

Please Note:

The fire station is on call 24 hours a day. Even with a booked tour, it is possible the crew will be called out and the station will be closed when you arrive. If this happens, please call the Administrative Office, and will be happy to reschedule your tour for another day.
